Case Background:
On April 9, 2019, the initial complaint in this securities class action was filed against The Boeing Company (“Boeing” or the “Company”), and certain of Boeing’s officers and directors, asserting violations of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act. This is a federal securities class action on behalf of a class of all investors who purchased or acquired the securities of Boeing between November 7, 2018 and December 16, 2019, both dates inclusive (the “Class Period”).
The complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants misled investors about the financial prospects for its commercial airplanes by misstating and concealing information about safety problems with the 737 MAX in the wake of investigations after multiples crashes in 2018 and 2019.
Current Status of Case:
On February 14, 2020, Lead Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint (the “Amended Complaint”). On August 23, 2022, the Court granted in part and denied in part Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss. This action is ongoing and in the discovery phase.
