Job Description

The Client Data Quality Manager is responsible for the allocation and prioritization of work among a team of Data Quality Analysts responsible for ongoing transaction data collection for existing clients.  S/he may also assist with client on-boarding activities for new clients.  The Manager will create and enhance department procedures and monitoring tools to ensure all work is completed timely and efficiently.  The Manager will respond to time-sensitive inquiries from staff, internal sources, and external clients.

Essential Functions / Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all work performed by the Data Quality Team
  • Build successful team by interviewing, hiring, and developing staff, including corrective action when necessary
  • Identify and communicate resource needs to management to perform all tasks timely and accurately
  • Perform both formal and informal performance measurement; provide performance feedback to staff on a continuous basis
  • Allocate/re-allocate work to ensure all work is being completed timely and accurately
  • Understand and communicate changing priorities to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Identify and implement process changes to increase overall efficiency
  • Review and approve staff work as defined by procedures or is otherwise necessary
  • Communicate regularly with manager, peers, and staff to resolve any client data issues
  • Participate as necessary in new/prospective client meetings to communicate data requirements

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, previous experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • Position related experience requirements
    • Minimum of seven years of professional experience; three years of supervisory experience required
    • Financial services experience preferred; project management experience a plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to identify and resolve basic and complex issues with data formatting, manipulation, and export/import
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • An inherently logical and intuitive nature
    • A basic understanding of securities investments (stocks, bonds, options) and securities portfolio statements

Job Description

The Data Collection Analyst is responsible for monitoring for receipt and/or retrieval of monthly client transaction statements in Excel and PDF format from clients’ and/or their custodian bank reporting websites and the subsequent complete and accurate loading of data into a database.  The Analyst will create data mappings, re-format, or otherwise manipulate, the transaction data in Excel for upload into a database.  The Analyst may also key transaction data received in PDF or paper format into an Excel spreadsheet.  In addition to recurring monthly data retrieval and formatting, the Analyst will assist with client on-boarding by retrieving, mapping, formatting, manipulating, and/or keying of additional historical transaction data for upload to a database.  The Analyst will also be responsible for responding to periodic, time-sensitive internal requests for client data.  

Essential Functions / Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor for receipt of or retrieve client securities transaction and holding statements from clients or clients’ bank reporting websites
  • Save source data files and/or documents in electronic client files and folders
  • Create data mappings and/or re-format or manipulate data in Excel for import into database
  • Review data upload reports to confirm receipt, identify missing data files or anomalies in data and take action to resolve
  • Communicate with Transaction Data Entry Specialists regarding manual re-keying of data requirements
  • Organize and record monthly processes in Excel process tracking spreadsheets
  • Respond to time critical internal requests for client transaction data
  • Communicate directly with clients or clients’ banks as needed to ensure all client account and transaction data is available and/or received
  • Communicate with internal teams to advise of new client data import completion and/or issues with available data
  • Identify, notify management of, and/or resolve any and all client account or transaction data issues
  • Perform periodic client data audits as assigned
  • Assist with historical data collection projects as assigned
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve data collection, scrubbing, or import processes

Job Description

The Settlement Claims Analyst is responsible for identifying new securities class action settlements in the market.  The Analyst will research these settlements to determine the securities and investment periods involved and execute database queries to identify KTMC clients that are eligible to file settlement claims.  The Analyst will prepare claims by analyzing client transactions and holdings data, formatting the data, and submitting to external claims administrators.  The Analyst will also perform claim audits for clients to determine if all past or current claims have been filed timely and accurately.

Essential Functions / Position Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret securities class action settlement notices and claim forms to understand claim eligibility and data requirements
  • Perform securities research and database queries to identify clients’ investment transactions and holdings relevant for preparing claims
  • Analyze clients’ transactions and/or holdings to determine universe of claimants that meet the parameters to file claims
  • Reconcile clients’ transactions against periodic holdings to confirm claims data or identify inconsistencies/deficiencies in transactions records
  • Research, resolve, and/or escalate inconsistencies/deficiencies in transaction records
  • Prepare and submit claim forms in paper and/or electronic format
  • Communicate with outside vendors via telephone or email regarding claim status; cure claim deficiencies and track claim status through distribution or payments
  • Audit claims filed by third parties; coordinate with third party filers to obtain claim information and to resolve discrepancies; review universe of filed claims for completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain client reporting database and prepare client reporting in accordance with reporting deadlines; deliver reporting in electronic and/or paper formats
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve claims identification and preparation process
  • Meet with manager and/or peers as necessary to discuss issues and resolutions

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an analytical discipline (Finance, Accounting, Math), previous relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • Position related experience requirements
    • Minimum 1 year of professional experience preferred
    • A basic understanding of securities investments (stocks, bonds, options) and securities portfolio statements
    • Must have strong analytical and basic math skills
    • Must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and be detail oriented.
